Selected grapes from old vines planted in the highest part of the Tremoedo estate. Very por sandy granitic soils lead to a small canopy and low fruit yield. The size of the grape is noticeably smaller than average and the natural control of the vigour of the plantes let the clusters be exposed to the limited sunrays of galician summer season. Cold macerated for 8 till 10 hours and fermentation at 17 temperature followed by a 24 month rest on lees, giving the wine an extra dimension of aromas and roundness in the palate. Perfect development in bottle up to 5 years.

PRODUCTION: 9.180 bottles of 0,75L and 500 bottles of 1.5Ltr.
VINIFICATION: Destemmed and cold maceration for 10 to 12 hours. Fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tank. The wine from this selection is kept on its lees for a minimum of 2 years before being bottled.

TASTING NOTE

Opaque yellow color with golden reflections.

On the nose it expresses yellow fruit, candied mango, quince and tangerine on a slightly herbal background reminiscent of fennel, chamomile and green tea, with subtle notes of beeswax and leather.

On the palate, the acidity dominates from the start and gives way to a tasty smoothness, the tension is prolonged and precedes a pleasant salinity that accompanies its long journey.
