Flowering: A key moment for the wines of Bodegas Granbazán
The spring season progresses at Bodegas Granbazán, and the sunny days of March have given way to a rainy April.
The risks of frost at the beginning of the month have not caused damage in the privileged Salnés Valley, in the heart of the Rías Baixas in Vilanova de Arousa.
These days, the field work is summarized to the mooring and guide of young plants and to the control of the general sanitary state of the vineyard.
Carlos Fernández, our field technician comments the following: “In recent days the vineyard has had a very high pressure from Mildiu, due to continuous rainfall and high temperatures, which are the ideal conditions for this disease to develop.
We have had few truce windows which we have taken full advantage of to avoid infection. ”
Buds of already about
50 cm display their greenness and a good load of clusters, but it will be the
flowering period the crucial moment that determines the abundance of the 2020
harvest.
We will continue to inform you about the different stages of the vineyard in the process of making our wines, but for now, we encourage you to discover more information about Albariños GRANBAZÁN with D.O. Rías Baixas, by clicking here, where you can see information about the tasting notes.
